Position Details Job Code #: JC-536464 Position #(s): 437-000-7992-XXX Working Title: Radiologic Technologist (Safety) Classification: RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (SAFETY) $6,212.00 - $7,237.00 T New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. # of Positions: 1 Work Location: Fresno County Telework: In Office Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Facility: Department of State Hospitals - Coalinga Job Description And Duties Instruct and prepare clients/patients for radiologic examinations; determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shield clients/patients appropriately; position and operate stationary or portable radiologic machines and take x-rays for a variety of all body structures; process, develop, and make copies and fix x-ray films; prepare solutions for processing films; assist cases and identify photographs; maintain equipment and quarters. The PLP program reduces the monthly gross salary but provides PLO leave credits in lieu of pay. The amount of salary reduction depends on the classification and associated union Bargaining Unit (BU). The BU that represents this position is BU#20 – Service Employees International Union (SEUI) . The expected salary reduction will be 3% of the salary identified above, and you will accrue approximately 5 hours of PLP each qualifying pay period. Department Information DSH-Coalinga opened in 2005 and began treating forensically committed patients, mostly of which are sexually violent predators. It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patients to outside medical services and court proceedings.
