Job Summary

This Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered.

Position Highlights

  • PRN minimum shift requirement (one) 1 shift per week.
  • Variable Night/Day/Weekend shifts, as needed.

  • Located on main campus and working with an adult patient population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Affords assistance in the orientation and training of new staff.

Tech Capabilities

  • Diagnostics Equipment (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
  • Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.

  • Work Experience: Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : Less than 1 year
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
