About the role
This position involves providing high-quality Radiology services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining diagnostic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Radiology rooms for procedures
- Develop images following clinical protocols
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and evaluate image quality
- Position patients for optimal imaging while respecting comfort and safety
- Evaluate images for quality and proper identification
- Ensure accurate input of patient data into electronic records
- Maintain radiation safety and perform equipment checks
- Provide patient education and communicate results appropriately
- Assist in training new staff and support workflow efficiency
- Respond to contrast reactions and adhere to safety protocols
- Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service
- Rotate between different shifts and assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification
Skills
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality
- Preferred: at least one year of diagnostic procedure experience
