About the role
This position requires 24-hour mandatory On-Call, requiring a return time of 30 minutes to the hospital when called.
Responsibilities
- Operate all routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or be registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Must have ARRT certification within one year of hire
- Produce high-quality radiographs with a minimum of repeats
- Handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams daily
- Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel
- Oversee first-year x-ray students and indirectly oversee second-year students
- Assist in the evaluation of student progress
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training
- Associate's Degree preferred
- ARRT certification within one year of hire
- BLS certification
