Radiologic Technologist (Nights)

About the role

This position requires 24-hour mandatory On-Call, requiring a return time of 30 minutes to the hospital when called.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or be registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Must have ARRT certification within one year of hire
  • Produce high-quality radiographs with a minimum of repeats
  • Handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams daily
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel
  • Oversee first-year x-ray students and indirectly oversee second-year students
  • Assist in the evaluation of student progress
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives
  • Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical Training
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • ARRT certification within one year of hire
  • BLS certification
