About the role
We are seeking a Radiologic Tech – MRI Apprentice to complete a 9-month ARRT (MR) certification or 14-month ARMRIT certification program. The apprentice will perform technical imaging examinations under general supervision and progress independently through competency-based classroom and clinical instruction.
Responsibilities
- Attend classes at 610 N Whitney Way, Madison, WI
- Participate in clinical experiences at University Hospital, UW Health Sports Medicine Clinic, 1 South Park Street clinic, and UW Health East Madison Hospital
- Complete the program and obtain an ARRT (MR) certification in nine months or an ARMRIT certification in 14 months
- Perform technical imaging examinations under general supervision and using a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers
Requirements
- Graduate of a CHEA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology with a minimum of an Associate’s degree
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- 6 months of direct patient care experience required
- 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Imaging preferred
- Basic Life Support/CPR within 3 months required
- ARRT Radiography (R) Certification preferred
- Wisconsin Radiological License preferred
