Radiologic Technologist - Medical Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist - Medical Assistant who can provide expertise and champion patient care. This role involves taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, administering IM injections, performing x-ray/imaging services, assisting with check-in/check-out, maintaining records, and keeping patients and visitors informed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
- Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
- A Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO) license is required in the state of residency.
- A current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
- A current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
- Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
