About the role
The Radiologic Technologist will perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating diagnostic imaging equipment. Responsibilities include making radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by the physician, adjusting equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures, determining, preparing, and setting up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment, positioning patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required, assisting the physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Additional duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of a physician
- Adjust equipment settings for proper exposure, voltage, and current
- Position patients for radiographic views using immobilization and protective devices
- Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Assist physicians during fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols
Requirements
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
- Active primary Radiography registry through the ARRT(R) or NMTCB
- Actively working towards achieving the primary ARRT(R) (CT) or NMTCB (CT) registry status within twelve months of hire
- Licenses/Certifications: Active ARRT (R) required, BLS required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques and procedures
- Ability to work independently within time constraints

- Reasoning and good independent judgment
Skills
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification within 12 months of hire (for those utilizing OJT in non-surgical areas)
- Reasoning and good independent judgment
