About the Role

Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures under supervision to aid in patient diagnosis across all ages. Practices radiation safety while operating radiologic equipment for various imaging modalities, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and trauma imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and technical operation of equipment.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform venipunctures and maintain radiologic equipment.
  • Support high-volume surgical cases using c-arms and o-arms.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and student education.
  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing training.
  • Access and administer drugs as needed under supervision.
  • Handle scheduling and communication courteously.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and safety across diverse populations.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently under stress.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification and valid state license.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Knowledge of radiologic positioning, radiation safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency with radiologic equipment, PACS, and hospital information systems.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Physical ability to perform medium work, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
