About the Role
Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures under supervision to aid in patient diagnosis across all ages. Practices radiation safety while operating radiologic equipment for various imaging modalities, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and trauma imaging.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and technical operation of equipment.
- Coordinate with medical staff to deliver quality patient care.
- Perform venipunctures and maintain radiologic equipment.
- Support high-volume surgical cases using c-arms and o-arms.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and student education.
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing training.
- Access and administer drugs as needed under supervision.
- Handle scheduling and communication courteously.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and safety across diverse populations.
- Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently under stress.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification and valid state license.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Knowledge of radiologic positioning, radiation safety, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with radiologic equipment, PACS, and hospital information systems.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Physical ability to perform medium work, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
