Role Overview Provides general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging across various hospital departments, including emergency, surgery, and bedside services, under supervision. Key Responsibilities Performs diagnostic radiologic examinations, ensuring proper patient positioning, immobilization, and optimal imaging based on clinical history and prior studies.Follows safety protocols, accurately identifies patients, and maintains confidentiality and documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS).Prepares sterile fields, contrast agents, and supplies; assists radiologists during procedures.Operates radiology, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging systems; reviews and transmits images for interpretation.Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and ensures safety standards, including ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.Provides compassionate patient care, explains procedures, assists with transport, and responds to patient needs.Participates in resuscitation efforts and maintains supplies and cleanliness of work areas.Shares on-call duties, mentors new personnel, supervises students, and pursues ongoing education.Attends departmental meetings and adheres to safety and operational protocols. Qualifications At least one year of general radiology experience as a registered technologist.Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent experience.Radiographer license and ARRT certification required.Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Skills Experience in trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgical radiology.
