Radiologic Technologist I

Key Responsibilities

• Operating digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment under supervision to obtain routine radiographs following physician and protocol specifications.
• Providing imaging services for patients of all ages while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Participating in performance improvement initiatives, training, and educational activities.
• Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and managing supplies and inventory.
• Effective communication with patients to gather medical history, explain procedures, and support patient comfort.
• Performing quality control activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring proper image documentation and distribution.
• Upholding professionalism, organizational values, and compliance with safety, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Aceess Associate's degree and certification in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire in Maryland; within 90 days in Washington, DC.
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and BLS certification required upon hire.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience not required; prior work experience is not mandatory.
