Radiologic Technologist - Hospital
About the role
Methodist Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Park Nicollet Radiology team. This position offers the opportunity to partner with providers to ensure patients have a safe and caring experience. The role requires maintaining licensure, registration, and certification, as well as adhering to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs high quality and accurate radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures.
- Trains and educates others on the operation of all equipment, procedures, image quality and exposure techniques.
- Operates various pieces of equipment safely and efficiently, including modality imaging devices, patient transfer devices, security systems, fire alarms, emergency equipment, PC, printer, voice documentation devices, EMR, fax, and photocopier.
- Maintains competency in the operation of new equipment and technology.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained.
- CPR certification must be obtained within 6 months and continuously maintained.
- Problem-solving skills and discretion with patient information.
- Computer knowledge or experience.
- The ability to exercise good judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and proper application of radiographic principles.
