About the role

Grady Health System (South Fulton location) is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team and provide high-quality radiographic imaging services for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures across multiple clinical settings while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  • Prepare examination rooms to ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hygiene standards prior to patient procedures.
  • Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and verify that demographic data, including medical record numbers and accession numbers, are accurate.
  • Apply appropriate lead markers to designate right (R) or left (L) orientation and include technologist initials on all radiographic images.
  • Maintain radiographic and digital imaging equipment by performing routine quality control checks and calibrations in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Clean and inspect radiographic rooms and equipment after each use and promptly report equipment malfunctions or repair needs to supervisory staff.
  • Avoid additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program required.
  • Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must obtain ARRT certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Knowledge of radiation protection techniques.
