About the role
Grady Health System (South Fulton location) is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team and provide high-quality radiographic imaging services for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with established departmental protocols.
- Prepare examination rooms to ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hygiene standards prior to patient procedures.
- Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and verify that demographic data, including medical record numbers and accession numbers, are accurate.
- Apply appropriate lead markers to designate right (R) or left (L) orientation and include technologist initials on all radiographic images.
- Maintain radiographic and digital imaging equipment by performing routine quality control checks and calibrations in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Clean and inspect radiographic rooms and equipment after each use and promptly report equipment malfunctions or repair needs to supervisory staff.
- Absorb additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program required.
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must obtain ARRT certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
