Radiologic Technologist Contingent Rotate

About the role

Perform diagnostic radiological exams using appropriate imaging equipment. Verify patient identity, review medical records, and interview patients to obtain medical histories and assess risk factors.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and potential side effects to patients
• Set up equipment and acquire images
• Review and document images, and communicate findings to radiologists
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
• Provide post-care instructions to patients
• Participate in process improvement activities to enhance quality of care, patient flow, and satisfaction
• Provide imaging education to trainees and staff
• Take call/standby as needed

Requirements

• ARRT registered in Radiography
• BLS certification

• Strong analytical and clinical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle diverse patient needs
• Ability to operate complex imaging equipment
• Physical stamina for manual tasks
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity essential for quality imaging and patient care in a dynamic environment
