Responsibilities
- Assists Cardiologist in performance of diagnostic invasive procedures.
- Maintains operational knowledge of Cath Lab equipment according to manufactures specifications.
- Assists and performs diagnostic invasive procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Scrubs and assists Cardiologist as requested.
- Responds to patient distress situations and assists with equipment quality control and inventory management.
- Prepares sterile trays, instruments, supplies and equipment necessary for procedures, and maintains sterile field.
- Provides all appropriate services to safely and efficiently complete patient procedures.
- Maintains, troubleshoots and operates fluoroscopy equipment to ensure operability and safety. Calibrates equipment and performs routine preventive maintenance procedures.
- Assumes off premise call responsibilities as required to assure complete call coverage.
- Collects all pertinent diagnostic data and all necessary calculations for physician's interpretation of results.
- Assumes off premise call responsibilities as required to assure complete call coverage.
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an AART Accredited School of Radiologic Technology, receiving an Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: 2 years experience in Radiologic Technology with 1 Year of Cath Lab/Peripheral and/or Interventional Radiology Experience Preferred.
- Licensure/Registry: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (RT); Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS). Current NYS License.
- Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass cardiac dysrhythmias test.

Benefits
Standard Rate of $39.00 to $58.00 per hour plus benefits
