Job Summary

Aids in procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system. Responsibilities include preparing patients, interpreting test results, monitoring patients, maintaining equipment, and performing point of care testing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for procedures.
  • Reviews medical history, positions patients, cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
  • Interprets, describes, and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
  • Maintains equipment, supplies, and lab area.
  • Monitors patient prior to, during, and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
  • Reports potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Locks/tag out equipment if necessary.
  • Maintains a clean, and orderly department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
  • No experience required.
  • Physical Requirements: Constant standing and walking; frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech; frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs; frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry; occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs; occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors; occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements; rare kneeling and sitting.
