About the role

The Registered Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in patient care within the Heart & Vascular Institute, assisting with invasive cardiology and radiology procedures. They administer contrast material, recognize and respond to allergic reactions, and ensure accurate documentation. The role involves maintaining sterile fields, preparing supplies, and supporting patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Performing cardiac catheterizations, structural heart procedures (e.g., TAVR, Watchman), and vascular work (e.g., EVAR, TCAR)
• Using advanced tools like Impella and OCT
• Assisting in staff training
• Managing inventory
• Participating in on-call work

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion certificate in radiologic technology
• ARRT registration
• IEMA licensure
• ACLS certification within one year
