About the role

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Hillsboro Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility offering a full range of cardiovascular services. This position involves performing various special duties in the catheterization laboratory, assisting physicians, and maintaining a customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs calculations and measurements using data from heart catheterizations.
  • Assists physicians during procedures, maneuvers catheters and wires, and injects contrast into blood vessels.
  • Routinely participates in QI/QC of point of care machines and defibrillators.
  • Maintains and handles sterile equipment under aseptic technique.
  • Sets up, programs, and runs IVUS machine under physician’s direction.
  • Assists with IABP setup and insertion under physician’s direction.
  • Provides basic administrative reports from the database.
  • Maintains, archives, retrieves, locates, and copies patient studies.
  • Troubleshoots radiologic and computer system problems and reports issues.
  • Cares for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients based on principles of growth and development and life stages.
  • Utilizes feedback from customers to improve services and departmental activity.
  • Recognizes and reports normal and abnormal patient physiology and hemodynamic parameters.
  • Affirms a quality product by reviewing and correcting documentation related to patient care.
  • Looks for ways to improve customer service.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
  • At least one (1) year experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory.
  • License: Oregon State Board of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred: Bilingual skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: A copy of your highest science-related academic diploma or transcript.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
  • Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Oregon State Board of Radiologic Technology, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Maintains technical systems (Xcelera, XIM, FD-10, FD 20).

Benefits

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Relocation Assistance up to $15,000.

Pay

Pay range: $51.98/hr - $76.92/hr

Schedule

Variable shift scheduling with call rotation.
