Radiologic Technologist
About the role
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Every day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To be successful, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
- Provide a clear explanation of the procedure including duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
- Provide patient education as appropriate.
- Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Select proper equipment, set correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gather proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
- Recognize all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely”.
- Understand and follow all rules around radiation protection, including wearing lead protection when there is a possibility of exposure.
- Obtain clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and record that data into the patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program (required upon hire).
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support - CPR (required upon hire).
- Medical Radiographer: NE (required upon hire).

Pay
$25.42 - $37.82 per hour
