About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist plays a crucial role in providing designated diagnostic imaging services across all NEBH locations. This technologist is responsible for performing various radiographic examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies patient identification and clinical information.
  • Positions patients for radiographic projections and sets exposure factors.
  • Ensures all images reach PACS and completes tracking steps in a timely manner.
  • Maintains equipment and reports any issues to management.
  • Monitors radiation exposure and follows radiation safety protocols.
  • Assists with non-imaging tasks such as transporting patients and serving as a liaison.
  • Participates in team efforts and promotes a culture of Wellbeing, Empathy, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Equity.

Requirements

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic License.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • Heart Saver certification or BLS from AHA.
  • Experience in hospital imaging department preferred.
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 0-1 years of experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $53.49 per hour, with actual compensation determined by several factors including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate due to shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, and other additional pay practices.
