About the role

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic x-ray procedures under physician supervision, utilizing advanced imaging techniques for patients of all ages. They operate various x-ray equipment, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable systems, ensuring radiation safety for patients, staff, and themselves. Proper patient positioning, technical adjustments, and sterile techniques are integral to their duties. They proficiently use department systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and offsite radiologist services for documentation and review. Patient care involves maintaining confidentiality, coordinating exams within departments, and effectively communicating with staff, patients, and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Valid Nebraska Medical Radiographer license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Strong communication, coordination, and technical skills
