Radiologic Technologist Assistant – PRN

Essential Functions

• Affixing and placing radiology procedure orders
• Maintaining the equipment
• Maintaining record keeping and filing system according to department policy
• Maintaining the department/stock linens/infection control practices
• Preparing rooms before and after the patient
• Transferring images and burn discs as needed
• Transports patients to and from the assigned areas
• Assists visitors and patients
• Provides clear communication to nurses and providers concerning protocols or other requests
• Activates and places radiology procedure orders
• Assigns the proper patient consent form, if and injectable study is performed
• Delivers radiographs to radiologists or physicians and retrieves them when appropriate
• Assists in locating patient files
• Assists with moving patients that are physically, or mentally handicapped
• Maintains the equipment
• Ensures promptness and efficiency, along with comfort and safety during the patient care process
• Assists in positioning patients
• Performs those duties not requiring constant supervision or technical detail
• Assumes responsibility for designated procedures with ingenuity and initiative as required

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled in an approved Radiology Technologist program
