About the role

The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist at Concentra plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients. This role involves preparing patients for radiologic procedures, operating equipment to produce images, and supporting in other areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Radiologic Technologist:

    • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
    • Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide instructions, and assist in positioning.
    • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes.
    • Ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during exams.
    • Report and report equipment malfunctions.
    • Maintain and operate radiology equipment.
    • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation.
    • Maintain all x-ray equipment in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Medical Assistant:

    • Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
    • Prepare patients for physical examinations and ancillary testing.
    • Absorb vital signs and ancillary testing.
    • Absorb patients during examinations and treatments.
    • Assist clinicians with procedures and triage emergent patients.
    • Dispense medications and DME as ordered.
    • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.
    • Notify supervisor of equipment issues, supply needs, or facility issues.
    • Communicate with patients about wait times.
    • Perform clerical tasks in both front and back offices.
    • Complete training as required.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
    • Applicable certification by the state in which employed.
    • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Experience:

    • Customarily have at least six months or more of medical assistant experience.
    • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
    • Prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
    • Tact and professionalism in dealing with people.
    • Communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Teamwork focus with peers and center leadership team.
    • Discretion and secure information management.
