Radiologic Tech - Weekend Team - Nights - FT

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Emergency Department Team Leader, the Weekend Supervisor, and/or at the direction of the radiologist, performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic exams.

About the Role

The technologist assists with invasive procedures using sterile technique. This position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilizing traditional, computerized, and digital radiographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic radiographic images. Strict adherence to the Radiology Weekend Team Policy regulating working hours and time-off is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with invasive procedures using sterile technique.
• Utilizes traditional, computerized, and digital radiographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic radiographic images.
• Adheres to the Radiology Weekend Team Policy regulating working hours and time-off.

Requirements

• Licensed and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS certification completed prior to starting the unit/departments and maintained going forward.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program.
• Prior hospital and/or physician office background preferred.

Skills

• Basic computer experience (1-2 years work experience or college level classes).
• Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
