About the role
The Radiology General Schedule position is a night shift role, working 36 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Competently operates radiographic equipment
- Accurately evaluates requests for radiographic procedures
- Obtains patient history and symptoms
- Performs radiographic procedures per provider orders
- Provides care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patients served
- Provides explanation and instruction to patients regarding radiographic procedures
- Demonstrates effective communication with patients and families
- Accurately performs appropriate documentation
- Follows radiation safety policies and guidelines
- Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
- Assists in the clinical instruction of radiography students
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved, 24-month program in Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- A minimum of 2 years in an accredited educational program
- Current in BLS certification
- Certification and Registry in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
