Full Time (80 hours/pay period) – Nights 10:00p-8:00a rotation with weekends, holidays, and on call.
About the role
Performs routine diagnostic, technical and/or special radiographic procedures at a general skill level.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
- Performs diagnostic procedures in one of the following specialty areas at a beginner level: operating room procedures (includes overhead, fluoroscopic and C-arm procedures), complex portables, or trauma procedures.
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
- Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
- Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
- Properly processes images using digital technology.
- Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%.
- Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.
- Performs other related duties as identified.
- Supports and meets the values and standards of WellSpan Health’s compliance and privacy programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) – upon hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support – upon hire
- Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology – upon hire
