Radiographer - Diagnostic Radiology - Night

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
• Performs diagnostic procedures in one of the following specialty areas at a beginner level: operating room procedures (includes overhead, fluoroscopic and C-arm procedures), complex portables, or trauma procedures.
• Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
• Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
• Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
• Processes images using digital technology.
• Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%.
• Collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Licenses: Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT upon hire, Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire
• Courses and Training: Accredited program in radiologic technology upon hire
