Radiographer

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist with minimal supervision.
• Exercising independent judgment while supporting designated areas or procedures.
• Operate appropriate imaging equipment.
• Process imaging media.
• Correct routine problems with imaging equipment.
• Provide basic nursing care.
• Perform departmental clerical duties.
• Ensure patient rights are protected.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Assist with the orientation of new personnel.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations.
• Promote a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or Temporary license required.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at time of hire.
• Employee will have a period of 1 year to obtain ARRT certification.
