We are looking for licensed Radiographers who thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to an overall positive patient experience.
About the role
We currently have immediate openings at our Hyattsville and Largo locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams, following established protocols and positioning techniques
- Provide patients with explanations of procedures and appropriate positioning prior to performing the x-ray
- Practice radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and employees
- Assist with triaging, discharge, and other basic patient care as Radiology workflow allows
- Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight
- Perform simple laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent (Required)
- Completion of an approved R.T program (Required)
- Current ARRT certification (Required)
- Maryland State Radiographer License (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital (preferred)
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of human anatomy
- Proficiency in operating x-ray equipment
- Superior customer service skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation with the willingness to comply with the company travel policy
- Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
- Scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
Pay
- Competitive hourly pay: $35-$40, plus opportunities for overtime
- $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions
