Radiographer

About the Role

We are seeking a Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role involves operating imaging equipment, processing media, troubleshooting issues, and supporting patient safety and rights. Additionally, responsibilities include providing basic nursing care, handling clerical duties, participating in performance improvement activities, supervising students, and assisting with staff orientation to ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures and operate radiographic equipment.
• Process imaging media and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide basic nursing care and ensure patient rights are protected.
• Complete departmental clerical tasks and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations and assist in staff orientation.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or Temporary license required.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred; 1-year period to obtain certification.
• Ability to operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot, and provide patient care.
• Strong attention to safety, patient rights, and departmental procedures.
