Radiographer Assistant
About the role
The Radiographer Assistant at MercyOne Dubuque supports the imaging team by performing various duties including patient check-in, exam review, preparation, patient education, assisting with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. They also assist with the use of a variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and software.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Enrolled as a second-year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current participation in radiology classes and clinical rotations
- Mandatory Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
Qualifications
Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current participation in radiology classes and clinical rotations. Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter. Basic Life Support (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and proficiency with medical terminology and equipment.
