Responsibilities
- Deliver radio newscasts.
- Write news stories for multiple markets.
- Maintain deadlines to provide news stories in a timely fashion.
- Write clear and concise news copy.
- Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
- Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
- Monitor sources for breaking news (wires and social media).
- Finalize content using digital audio editing software.
- Repackage content from producers and field reporters for newscasts.
- May be called on to anchor or report as needed.
- Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Mervin Block style of writing.
- Ability to run your own audio board.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation and grammar.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, newsroom.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
- Previous on-air broadcast experience is preferred but not required.
- Jounalism degree is preferred but not required.

Pay
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $27.20 - $34.00
