Radiation Therapy Aide

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up radiation oncology treatment equipment.
• Affords patients with positioning assistance and helps them get on and off treatment tables.
• Maintains clinical supply levels efficiently.
• Collaborates with Therapy Leadership, Radiation Therapists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate clinical operations.
• Identifies and addresses clinical environmental needs.
• Communicates with Chief and Lead Radiation Therapists to report on ways to improve the patient experience.
• Confirms and schedules appointments for patients under the supervision of the Chief and Lead Therapists.
• Offers new ideas, solutions, and options through innovative and critical thinking.
• Conveys relevant information clearly and concisely in both formal and informal documentation.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Encourages collaboration and input from all team members, valuing their contributions.
• Maintains professionalism and adheres to documented policies and procedures.
• Promotes adherence to privacy rules established under HIPAA.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
