Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment per prescribed protocols, including immobilization devices.
• Deliver prescribed radiation doses, explain procedures to patients, and communicate effectively during treatment.
• Monitor patients for reactions or complications, reporting any concerns to supervisors and physicians.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient charts, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Supervise and evaluate students' practical skills in radiation therapy procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required certifications: ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT).
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in radiological technology and relevant experience.
• Additional certifications such as CPR/BLS, fluoroscopy permit, are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care standards.
