Radiation Therapist - Full-Time, Days

About the Role

Provides radiation therapy treatments and simulations under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, ensuring accurate treatment delivery, proper documentation, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Interprets treatment plans, prepares treatment rooms, and verifies parameters.
• Performs clinical and CT-based simulations for tumor localization and fabricates immobilization devices.
• Maintains treatment records, monitors patient reactions, and provides patient education.
• Executes quality assurance procedures, adheres to safety and regulatory standards, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Supports training of radiation therapy students and assists in departmental tasks and emergency call duties.

Requirements

• Associate degree required; certification from ARRT (T) or eligibility with completion within a year.
• Knowledge of radiation procedures, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing situations, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Valid licenses, compliance with safety standards, and ability to perform clinical procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced procedures such as SRS, SBRT, TBI, and brachytherapy.

Schedule

Day shift in a healthcare facility dedicated to cancer treatment.
