Radiation Therapist, Full-Time, Days

About the role

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform simulations and deliver radiation treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting treatment plans and administering accurate radiation therapy treatments.
• Preparing treatment rooms, acquiring images for precise patient positioning, and fabricating immobilization devices.
• Monitoring patients during treatment, providing education, and documenting treatment and billing information.
• Executing quality assurance procedures, maintaining safety standards, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting training of students and participating in departmental duties and emergency call coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; ARRT (T) certification or eligibility, with certification within one year.
• Prior experience in radiation oncology preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of radiation procedures and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise clinical judgment.

Licensing

Licensing requirements vary by location, including state-specific radiation licenses.
