Responsibilities
- Operate radiation-producing equipment safely and precisely, adhering to radiation safety measures.
- Participate in quality control monitoring and ensure accurate treatment delivery.
- Assess patients' mobility, provide specialty care considering age groups, and educate patients and families on side effects and treatment aids.
- Document appropriately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and follow policies for safety and treatment accuracy.
- Recognize limitations, seek assistance when needed, and report adverse reactions immediately.
- Simulate new patients, schedule treatments, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Contribute as a clinical instructor for students, providing evaluations and feedback.
Qualifications And Skills
- Associates Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately and demonstrate radiation safety practices.
