Radiation Therapist

Role: The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes, following the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription. They are responsible for patient simulation, basic patient care, education, and ensuring accurate treatment delivery. Key Responsibilities Interpret and implement treatment plans, document procedures, and perform simulation and immobilization.Assess and prepare treatment equipment, perform quality assurance, and support clinical training if needed.Provide patient care during treatments, educate patients, and monitor clinical progress.Schedule and deliver treatments professionally and efficiently, ensuring accurate billing. Qualifications & Skills Radiology Tech License (if applicable), ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, and BLS certification.Strong clinical knowledge, communication, decision-making, empathy, and collaboration skills.Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution. Physical Requirements: Ability to see, read, lift, transfer patients, operate equipment, and navigate busy environments.
