Radiation Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer radiation therapy by accurately preparing and positioning patients, delivering prescribed doses, and maintaining detailed treatment records in a supportive environment, contributing to patient care and community health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiation therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as linear accelerators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and department protocols.
• Submit high-quality images and maintain detailed treatment documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized department environment.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or completion of a radiation therapy certification program.
• ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapy) credential.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• State-specific Radiation Therapist license (where applicable).

No prior experience is necessary.

Physical demands

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent use of vision and hearing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
