General Summary

Aid the Chemistry/Radiological Services director in tracking Performance Improvement of the Radiation Protection (RP) and Chemistry (CY) departments. Track, monitor, and analyze department performance data. Evaluate performance deltas and recommend solutions, measure effectiveness, and report department status.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Review Condition Reports (CRs) for RP and CY and prioritize, assign severity, and track ownership for MRT according to SWP-CAP-06.

  • Perform casual analysis for human and organizational performance issues, including CR evaluations and recommending corrective actions to reduce recurrence.

  • Trend and analyze department performance data to develop recommendations for improved performance based on trends.

  • Assist in providing management and staff with relevant assessment data in a timely manner.

  • Compose department trend reports in accordance with GBP-CAP-03.

  • Support the development, implementation, monitoring, and reinforcement of department human performance initiatives.

  • Participate in departmental self-assessments.

  • Promote, monitor, and evaluate the use of industry-standard error prevention tools at the management and workforce levels.

  • Maintain and communicate error and event data for the department.

  • Update department performance indicators, including recovery plans, excellence plans, and clock resets.

  • Assist in special projects based on department and station needs.

  • Participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.

  • Support the biennial refueling outage.

Required Education And Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of technical/technical support experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, security, training, health physics, chemistry, technical project management or performance improvement within a highly regulated work environment.

  • OR requires an Associate’s degree and 5 years of technical/technical support experience in the same fields.

  • OR requires a high school diploma/GED and 8 years of technical/technical support experience in the same fields.

Pay Range

$95,532.00 - $143,298.00 Annual Midpoint $119,415.00
