About the role
We are seeking a Radiologic Tech – MRI Apprentice to complete a 14-month program and obtain an ARMRIT certification. The apprentice will participate in competency-based classroom and clinical instruction, performing technical imaging examinations under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Complete the program and obtain an ARMRIT certification in 14 months.
- Participate in competency-based classroom and clinical instruction, becoming increasingly independent in performing complex and specialized procedures, through program progression.
- Perform technical imaging examinations under general supervision and using a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers.
Requirements
- Completion of college coursework, including college level science in addition to the experience below.
- College level science includes coursework that covers scientific principles, and concepts such as Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, & Chemistry.
- Sign a contract committing to work for UW Health as a Rad Tech – MRI for at least 24 months after program completion or reimburse the full ($12,500.00) cost of the program.
Qualifications
- Work Experience: 6 months of direct patient care experience.
- Licenses & Certifications: ARMRIT Certification within 14 months Required and Basic Life Support/CPR within 3 months Required.
