Rack Service Merchandiser Part-Time

About the role

Associated Grocers is hiring a Part-Time Merchandiser to support our Retailers in the New Orleans and surrounding River Parishes area. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your work directly impacts member stores.

Responsibilities

• Order, stock, and merchandise HBC/GM departments in member/retailer stores
• Manage new product introductions
• Promote and sell displays for contracted clients of Merchandising Services
• Order HBC/GM merchandise for member/retailer stores
• Verify expiration dates on all product received and on shelf
• Check in the entire order, including cases and totes
• Stock, rotate, pull discontinued items, and dust all HBC/GM departments in member/retailer stores each visit
• Notify supervisor of any shipping errors or outdated product
• Complete accurate Credit Return forms
• Merchandise private label products to the right of comparable national brands
• Develop a good working relationship with member/retailer staff
• Introduce new items and replace slow or non-selling items

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Up to one month of related experience or training
• Valid Driver’s License with an appropriate motor vehicle driving record
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Dependable
• Ability to use a two-step stool to reach and handle product

Schedule

This part-time position requires a commitment of approximately 20-25 hours per week.
