Rack Repairer

Job Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
• Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter).
• Welds on all types of steel using Mig and Arc welding techniques.
• Welding – Mig & Arc, cutting torch.
• Hand tools – grinders, drill press and hand drill.
• Aid in the fabrication of simple tools, jigs and fixtures.
• Must be able to work from blueprints or sketches.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Support preventative maintenance for racks.
• Promote good housekeeping (5S).
• Perform other duties as required.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Bending or stooping.
• Manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Proficient in Mig & Arc welding.
• Kamtek certified forklift operator.
• Technical procedures/blueprints knowledge.
• Ability to work in co-operation with others.
