About the role

The R&D Technician I position at NovelCath, a Cirtec company, is responsible for developing and assembling catheters and associated medical components using state-of-the-art equipment. The role involves working closely with R&D engineering teams to ideate, create, and build prototypes, and providing feedback to ensure successful progression through the development process.

Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations on improving process quality and efficiency based on data and observation.
  • Aid in employee training on equipment and assembly skills.
  • Solve problems and communicate effectively with engineering to enhance quality.
  • Develop and maintain written technical descriptions of processes and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow safety policies and practices, attend safety training, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform corrective and preventative action tasks.
  • Ensure reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Make clear and accurate decisions.
  • Show strong team collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • 5+ years' experience in R&D/manufacturing environment for catheters
  • Strong drive to learn, share, and teach
  • Understanding of and experience with mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with FDA, cGMP principles and practices (ISO 9001, ISO 13485)
  • Strong computer skills associated with Microsoft software
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and illustrations
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Excellent reading, writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Capable of making clear and accurate decisions
  • Strong desire to learn and apply new technology

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of advanced manufacturing processes is a plus

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm
