R&D Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Extrusion Technology

Apply sound engineering methods to investigate, understand, and develop practical process inventions and modifications for high temperature thin film extrusion for magnet wire insulation systems. Hands-on technical leadership of design and execution of extrusion insulation technology. Interface with R&D Chemists to provide knowledge and develop extrusion technology and processes for the introduction and evaluation of new/modified materials. Responsible for development and implementation of products and processes to meet or exceed the requirements of current and future customer applications. Provide technical support for new equipment evaluation, assist with the installation, startup, training, and product launch phases. Evaluate prototype equipment, document performance, and recommend modifications. Develop new processes and products to improve quality, efficiency and cost of existing extruded insulation products.
