About the Role

We are looking for an R&D & Product Care Engineer to join our team based in Heber Springs, Arkansas. This position supports the full lifecycle of medium-voltage overhead switching products, including design, testing, product localization, and ongoing product care. You will collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive innovation, improve reliability, and optimize product performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive product lifecycle management, product care, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support design, development, and localization of medium-voltage overhead switching products
• Lead validation, testing, and qualification activities, including hands-on testing
• Partner with operations, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams
• Advance design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturing initiatives
• Implement product improvements based on performance and feedback
• Maintain technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with medium-voltage products, switchgear, or overhead switching equipment
• Electromechanical engineering design and development experience
• Experience with NX and Teamcenter or similar CAD/PLM tools
• Product validation, testing, and manufacturing introduction experience
• Cross-functional engineering collaboration experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UL, IEEE, or utility standards (preferred)
• Experience in product lifecycle management, product care, or localization (preferred)
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP tools (preferred)
• Understanding of IT systems or TCP/IP communication (preferred)
• Experience in a global engineering environment (preferred)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $143,942 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
