About the role

Drug Plastics Corporate Office is looking for you to join our R&D team as a Mold Machinist.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine tools, including but not limited to: Manual and CNC lathes, milling machines and grinding machines
  • Operate power tools, including: die grinders and rotary tools
  • Use hand tools such as files and honing stones
  • Utilize computer aided technologies, (CNC, CAM, and Conversational Programming)
  • Communicate any component damage and/or maintenance issues to the Technical Services Manager
  • Prioritize daily and weekly tasks

Requirements

  • Successful Completion of relevant machinist program
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience
  • Strong Mechanical background
  • Use Milling Machines, Lathes, Grinders, and Hand Tools to very close tolerances
  • Prior experience working with Aluminum, Beryllium, Copper, and Stainless Steel strongly preferred

  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Effective communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English
