R&D Lab Technician

About the role

We are seeking an R&D Lab Technician to support our research and development team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will assist chemists with formulation tasks, manufacture lab-scale batches of coatings, adhesives, and insulation materials, and perform product testing and application trials. You will develop skills in color matching, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain organized records of lab activities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing materials
• Conducting performance evaluations
• Applying coatings
• Supporting safety and organization in the lab
• Overseeing raw material handling and batch monitoring (as needed)

Qualifications

• College-level science coursework; preferably a BS in a physical science
• 5+ years of related lab experience preferred
• Comfortable handling chemicals and solvents
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail, independence, and a proactive attitude are essential

Pay

Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $29.00/hour.
