R&D - Engineering Lab Technician
or drop it. Probably we can include it in About the role paragraph. Then "Your role and responsibilities:" then description: "The R&D Lab Technician serves as an individual contributor responsible for setting up and executing product tests in accordance with established testing methodologies, standards, and requirements. Ensures accurate and thorough documentation of test procedures and results. Performs assigned tasks using hands-on technical skills and a practical understanding of engineering and technology concepts. Responsibilities may include the setup, configuration, testing, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, products, or systems in support of research and development activities." Then "Our Team Dynamics" paragraph: "Our teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Everyone brings something unique, and together we push ideas forward to solve real problems. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there." Then "You will be mainly accountable for:" then bullet list (actually sentences separated by periods). We need to convert to
- list.
List items:
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing of motors and related products in accordance with standardized test plans and regulatory requirements (e.g., CSA, UL, DNV, ABS, SIRA), ensuring accurate documentation, reliable results, and adherence to testing schedules.
- Set up, configure, operate, and maintain laboratory test equipment and systems, including motor testing dynamometers (2 Hp to 2500 Hp), variable frequency drives, and sound and vibration measurement systems.
- Conduct hands-on technical work such as wiring, installation, programming, disassembly, and reassembly of electric motors, while maintaining laboratory assets and updating internal procedures to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements, participate in external audits, and maintain required operator certifications (e.g., forklift, hoist, crane, scissor lift) to support safe and efficient lab operations.
Then "Qualifications for the role:" then subheadings: Education & Experience, Technical Skills, Testing & Equipment Experience (Preferred), Laboratory & Industrial Exposure (Preferred), Professional Competencies, Candidates must already have work authorization...
We need to decide sections: Qualifications, Skills maybe. The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have Qualifications and Skills separate. The posting includes Education & Experience (qualifications), Technical Skills (skills), Testing & Equipment Experience (Preferred) (skills), Laboratory & Industrial Exposure (Preferred) (skills/experience), Professional Competencies (skills). Also work authorization requirement (maybe part of Qualifications). We'll combine.
We should not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". No Pay or Schedule info given, so we omit those sections. Benefits: there is a section "ABB Benefit Summary For Eligible US Employees". That's benefits content. So we should include Benefits section with that info. Must preserve all substantive info; we need to include the benefit details.
We must remove EEO boilerplate etc. The benefits section includes a lot of detail; we should keep it.
We also have "More about us:" paragraph about ABB's NEMA Motors Division. That could be part of About the role or maybe separate? Not a standard heading; we could include in About the role.
We also have "What's In It For You" paragraph: that's like benefits/value proposition; but we already have Benefits section; we could incorporate that into Benefits or maybe a separate section like "About the role"? The instruction says include a section ONLY when posting has real, specific content for it. The "What's In It For You" is specific content about benefits/culture; but we already have Benefits section for tangible benefits. Could treat "What's In It For You" as part of Benefits or maybe a separate "About the role"? I'd incorporate into Benefits as it's about what you get.
We must not include application instructions like "Apply today or visit https://www.abb.com". Remove that.
We must not include duplicated lines.
Now construct HTML.
We'll have:
