R&D Chemist - Metal Deco Ink

Job Description

• Starting Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually
• Location: West Chicago, IL
• Role: Metal Decoration Development Chemist

About the Role

The successful candidate will join our growing Metal Deco ink division, contributing to the development of innovative metal decoration inks and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Develop Metal Deco inks and coatings
• Conduct various tests including analytical, formulation, small batch manufacturing, pigment dispersion, and print
• Provide technical information to customers to help in the design, qualification, and troubleshooting of product development
• Stay up-to-date with new market trends and new technological changes in the analytical and chemical industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an equivalent degree
• 2-5 years of experience formulating inks and coatings
• Knowledge in rheology, pigment dispersions, interfacial/colloidal science, polymer chemistry, and color science
• Excellent math and science, written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to travel both domestically and internationally
